Imagination is the most powerful mental faculty we have because it deals with the “𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗯𝗲” element.
However, it’s a terrible thing when we use it against ourselves.
What we focus on EXPANDS. Make sure your focus is on the reality you want to create.
If I had to guess, there are others out there like me. I want you to know, you’re not alone and change begins with our thoughts.
I often ponder the question: what advice would I tell my newly-divorced self?
Obviously, I can’t go back in time, BUT I can use my knowledge for good and help others.
5 Things I would tell my newly-divorced self:
Focus on what you have instead of what you don’t have.
Count your blessings. You can’t be miserable and grateful at the same time. Ask yourself, what has God done for me today?
Create daily rituals or routines to set the stage for the day.
Journal. Get the squirrels out of the brain and free up your precious mental real estate. Also dream BIG on the pages of a journal. How can you expect to create a better life if you don’t know what that even looks like?
Create a project, task or a deed. Challenge yourself. Do something you’ve always wanted to do but you’ve been holding back. Follow-through is key, and it will help with self-confidence.
