It was 2013, I had been through a marriage, a divorce, and I had 2 young kids. For me, dating was a struggle.
I was discovering how drastically different it was compared to dating before marriage in 1995. 😲
I was growing weary of the process.
BUT
I saw a photo of a handsome fellow on a friend’s Facebook post. I knew at that moment he was someone I wanted to meet.
Out loud, I said, “I want that guy.”
I went on with my day and forgot about him.
Six weeks later, another friend texted me and said she wanted to set me up on a blind date.
I didn’t bother looking him up on social media, I decided to trust my friend.
Then curiosity got the best of me, and I looked him up.
AND
He WAS THE GUY in my friend’s Facebook post, the one that caused me to declare, “I want that guy!”
Four years later, we got married!
Mind-blowing, right? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Not really…because
WORDS are POWERFUL!
That’s why we must be aware of the words we speak.
Your strongest belief will become your reality.
Sadly, I often hear my clients say, “there’s no one out there to date”
This is TRUE.
That is, if that’s what you believe! If you believe it, you’ll make it your reality.
But there’s good news,

you can change your beliefs

What if your inner voice said, “there is someone special out there. I will carry on with my life, living it to the fullest so that when s/he arrives I will be ready”?

We don’t attract what we want, we attract who we are

Who are you right now?
If you’re still grieving over a breakup, do not be surprised if you attract someone who is also in the midst of grief.
The best thing you can do is allow room to heal. It takes time and it’s an investment, but it’s the best investment you will ever make.
Dating will come, there’s no need to rush it. When we do, it becomes a distraction that delays healing.
There are some other things you can be doing right now that will help you attract the person of your dreams. In the video below, my husband and I candidly talk about the valuable things we did prior to meeting each other. 👇
